Why this matters

More than a fundraiser

Walk The Border 2026 is about movement in every sense. We are moving mile by mile toward a shared goal. We are inviting teams to move together in generosity. And we are making space for new conversations so more people can learn about Three Trees and help build the first of three homes that will eventually serve 40 children.

Every team takes on a practical commitment: a number of miles to walk and a fundraising goal to pursue. Together, those individual commitments become one shared effort.

What is Walk The Border 2026?

Walk The Border 2026 is a team-based Walk A Thon where we are working together to walk 243 miles, raise $15,000, and have 243 meaningful conversations that introduce people to Three Trees Ministries.

Why 243 miles?

The 243-mile goal represents the length of the Haitian–Dominican border. It gives us a shared challenge that connects movement, awareness, and mission.

Do I have to walk all 243 miles myself?

No. The 243 miles is a collective goal. Each team commits to a portion of the miles, and together all teams help reach the full total.

How do teams work?

Each team chooses a mileage goal and a fundraising goal. When you register, you will receive a personal page and link to share. If you start a team, you will also receive a team page and team link that others can use to join and support your effort.

Can I participate if I do not want to start a team?

Yes. You can join an existing team.

Do I have to be local to participate?

No. You can participate from wherever you are. This event is designed so individuals, families, churches, and groups can join from different places and still be part of one shared effort.

How are miles tracked?

Each day, an online form will be used to report completed miles. Those totals will then be updated on the website so everyone can see the progress.

What counts as a meaningful conversation?

A meaningful conversation is a real introduction to Three Trees Ministries. It could be a personal conversation with a friend, family member, church member, coworker, or supporter where you share what Three Trees does and why this work matters.

Where does the money go?

All funds raised through Walk The Border 2026 go toward constructing the first of three homes that will eventually serve 40 children.

Can I personalize my page?

Yes. Both team pages and team member pages can be personalized. You can share why you are walking and why you are part of Three Trees. This helps friends and family connect with your goal in a more personal way.

How do I register or join?
